With amazing grapes
come incredible wines. Small production, handcrafted excellence flows from our winery that sits in the heart of Sta. Rita Hills appellation in northern Santa Barbara County. The Cassara family and staff are dedicated to continue to bring you superior Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc as well as a few distinct "Winemaker Reserve" barrel select wines. Pinot Noir is our specialty and our flagship Estate Grown Pinot Noir is shining brighter every year as our vineyard matures upon our mountain top at 880 feet altitude. Hence the naming of our "Altitude Wine Club" and the "From the Mountaintop" newsletter.. We have the great fortune of obtaining grapes from many Santa Rita Hills vineyards with a few select county vineyards included. This gives us the great opportunity to produce several different Pinot Noirs of distinction. Check out our great "Altitude Wine Club"page and call us to join up! Our Wines can be found at many Central Coast locations which can be view on our "availability list". We can ship to most US states, yet some are restricted. |

Dennis R. Ford PhotographyMy fondest childhood memories are of watching clouds in the ksy and imagining the many forms in these clouds. As an adult, I am still fascinated by images, whether real or imagined. As a photographer, I look for imagery in natural and man-made phenomena that is created by shadows, wet surfaces, mirrored images or objects that appear to be incongruous with their natural surroundings. My photography has been exhibited on the Central Coast of California, Los Angeles, Fort Collins, Colorado, and recently, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Several of my photographs have been published in in photography periodicals such as Black & White Magazine and CameraArts Magazine. The paintings of Georgia O'Keefe, the drawings of M.C. Escher, David Hockney's collages and the 20th century photography of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston have all influenced my photography. Also, I am drawn to the style of the contemporary black and white photographers Michael Kenna, Rolfe Horn and Roman Lornac. I believe these artists invoke the Modernism approach to their imagery; each emphasizes a straight forward, minimalist style in their art form. It is a style I aspire to follow in my photography. |
