2004 Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills
A great follow up to our 2003 vintage 100% Pinot Noir blend from the Santa Rita Hills. Many small vineyards within the appellation became part of this great blend. Casa Cassara Estate Grown, Burning Creek Vineyard, La Lomitas Vineyard, and other small vineyards were barrel fermented in 2 year old French barrels as separate wines and then blended. Great color, simple depth and essences of earth, spice, rain, grape juice and berries make their way through supple spices. Crisp acidity lingers on the finish. This wine will age well for the short term and is value priced for young drinking.
