2005 Rosé, Santa Barbara County

Gringralino is the Italian grape making up 75% of the wine. This grape is unique as it is actually pink and accompanies many Italian blends. Wefound it at the Zotovich vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills and wanted to produce our first rose. The color from the skins was so slight and the fruit flavors so light we decided to round out the wine with Pinot Noir and came up with a delightful dry fruity rose. Nice and acidic for seafood and salads but also drinks simply alone. Drink now. Great for all “Holiday” menus.
